- Refresh the Google Docs tab and reopen the add-on.
- Confirm you’re signed in with the Google account that installed the add-on.
- Clear your browser’s cache and cookies, then try again.
- Check the Google Workspace Status Dashboard for ongoing outages.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do I install Cogilo in Google Docs?
In Google Docs, open Extensions ▸ Add-ons ▸ Get add-ons, search for “Cogilo,” then click Install. The sidebar appears under Extensions ▸ Cogilo.
Why can’t I see the sidebar after installing?
Make sure you’re logged in with the same Google account you used to install Cogilo, then refresh the tab and choose Extensions ▸ Cogilo ▸ Open.
Does Cogilo store my document data?
Cogilo only processes text you explicitly send; nothing is kept after the request finishes. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I get rewrite suggestions?
When you click on "Highlight in Document" for a cognitive marker, an improvements box will load in the Sidebar that automatically generates rewrite suggestions. To apply them in the hihglighted section and see the prior text and the suggested rewrite above, you click on "Apply This Rewrite.
